More than 40 arts and cultural organizations from across Oklahoma will host exhibits in the 4th Floor Rotunda in a show of support and appreciation of the Oklahoma Arts Council and the public arts funding. In addition, arts advocates from across the state will meet with legislators. Last year, more than 400 people from every corner of the state attended the event.
This year, a new kick-off event will energize advocates and legislators. The kick-off will begin at 9 a.m. It will include statements and policy updates from co-chairs Ken Busby and Julia Kirt as well as special introductions of legislators and arts leaders by Jim Tolbert, Chairman, Oklahomans for the Arts.
All events free and open to the public at the Oklahoma State Capitol:
9-10 am:
Kickoff in Supreme Court Ceremonial Chambers on 2nd Floor
10-11 am:
Visit your legislators (whenever are available!)
10 am-3 pm:
Art organization exhibits in 4th Floor Rotunda
3-5 pm:
